2006 John Day, Cottonwood to McDonald Ferry

In October of 2006, Reggy, John, and I floated from Cottonwood to McDonald Ferry in canoes. We really got into the chukar but could only bag 6 of them. Another great trip punctuated by difficulty finding Reggy, he always wore camo. Also, I believe this was the year that Reggy got separated from John and I and did not make it to camp before dark. We walked upriver and tried to raise him on the radios. After a lot of trying, we finally made contact and had to guide him downriver with flashlights as he walked his canoe downriver. It wasn't fun.
